Photovoltaic Measurement System

Applications and measurement goals
Evaluating a photovoltaic device requires attention to both illumination and electrical response. MiracleTech combines its in-house full-spectrum solar simulator and I–V source meter products to help researchers and test engineers establish consistent optical and electrical test conditions.
The approach is intended for device characterization, comparison under different illumination conditions, and research test benches. Measurement ranges and test methods should be confirmed for the device under test.
Illumination and electrical measurement
Full-spectrum solar simulator
The solar simulator provides test illumination, with spectral matching and optical power as key product considerations. Select a configuration according to device area, target irradiance, and continuous or pulsed test requirements.

I–V source meter
The source meter applies voltage or current and measures the device response. The existing source meter product supports four-quadrant operation for semiconductor characterization and I–V measurements. Voltage, current, and measurement speed depend on the selected product specifications.

Test workflow and selection
- Define the active area, device material, and expected operating range.
- Specify the spectrum, irradiance, illumination uniformity, and test duration.
- Select source meter ranges, channel count, and sweep method for the device.
- Confirm the fixture, wiring, and temperature conditions before measuring and comparing I–V results.
Share the sample details, target measurements, and existing equipment with our technical team to discuss a suitable combination of illumination and measurement products.
From illumination to measurement
Light source → sample and fixture → source meter → I–V data. This is a measurement workflow, not a claim of measured system performance.
| Selection input | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Sample | Material, active area and mounting |
| Illumination | Spectrum, irradiance and uniformity requirements |
| Electrical measurement | Voltage/current ranges, sweep mode and channels |
| Test conditions | Temperature, wiring and repeatability |
